MISSY CASTRO

I am also a sonic practitioner. sooo...what is sonic healing?

    •
      •     The harmonious sounds of singing bowls have a positive impact on emotions, promoting feelings of joy, relaxation, and overall emotional well-being.
      •     This emotional balance can contribute to a more positive outlook on life

Picture
Singing bowls produce soothing vibrations that resonate with the body's cells and energy centers. The vibrations stimulate cellular activity and promote a sense of harmony within the body.

what to expect

Everyone's experience is different, and new things may emerge in each sound therapy session. Most people feel very relaxed and peaceful during sound healing, whereas some have visuals,  downloads, fall asleep or even have emotional breakthroughs.

Training

I have trained under Pati Pellerito, sound therapist for over 25 years. Her studio (right) The Center of Sound holds a sacred space for those interested in experiencing sound baths or those who wish to enrich their training in  sonic massage. I continue to find studies which enrich my training and build on my knowledge regarding the science behind sound therapy.

Group & Individual

Sound healing sessions can be experienced individually, much like a massage. You will have bowls played around you and placed upon you. Tuning forks might also be used.
_____
A group session or Sound Bath, is when participants lie on their backs (Savasana position in yoga), whilst a sound healing practitioner facilitates the session.
